About the job You will be a part of cross functional team which is responsible for the development and life cycle management of Liquidity & Treasury Reporting. The team, consisting of 5 members, is very skilled. They work close with the APO and Scrum Master. The Team is one of three teams in Value Stream Treasury which is part of BIO Group Functions.

In the Software Engineer role, you will:

Contribute in all areas: analyse, design, develop, test and maintain services delivered by the team
Proactively reduce the technical depts
Decide on how to build the solution within architecture frames
Solve and deploy solutions of incidents and problems
Continuously update existing documentation for the services
Participate and follow maintenance processes (incident, problem, event as applicable)
Ensure quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software
Act as team player in the cross functional team and constantly improve the way of working
Design new tests, improve existent ones and execute tests (unit, security, performance etc.) in order to secure needed quality of the delivered software and IT service
Support the APO's in finding a good balance between life cycle management, maintenance, regulatory compliance and development
Collaborate with the APO's, business analyst and other roles within Group Treasury and other parts of Swedbank to refine and enable a prioritisation of the product backlog

About the job Group Valuation Operations is the leading competence center for executing independent valuation within Swedbank and we operate through our analytical- and valuation- capabilities.
As a Valuation Specialist within Group Valuation Operations you are expected to master and execute Swedbank's official valuation methodology including fair value adjustments and prudent valuation. As a Kafka Engineer in the ODL Platform team, you will work within the Data Discovery & BI Architecture Value Stream in CFO's Group Business Intelligence department.
You will have an important role in a Cross Functional Team (CFT) working with use cases (UC). You will work both independently and in close cooperation with other team, consisting of data engineers, data scientists and BA.

You will be engaged in:

Establishing a solid operation and maintenance of our Kafka implementation
Designing and building streaming solutions with Kafka (K,KStream)
Requirement analysis together with stakeholders
Technical design of streaming and event integration
Micro service oriented way of working
Automation of software installation and configuration
Third line support of our Data Lake platform


What you need to succeed As a Kafka Engineer in Data Platform team, we expect you to have experience in a wide range of technologies. Programming is expected to be mostly in Java, Groovy, Python, and UNIX shell scripting. Kafka and Hadoop is the core platform; you also need experience in DevOps automation preferable with Ansible.

You have a solid combination of the following requirements:

About the job In this role, your responsibilities include ensuring that the ODL is according to best practice and that it meets the quality standards of a modern enterprise data warehouse and that the strategic direction of the ODL development is in line with the BI target architecture. You will work together with the ODL domain architect as well as several other architects specializing in different areas of ODL and help coordinate efforts in order to secure a well-working end-to-end architecture that will provide a solid foundation for any future BI services. In addition, the role also includes managing architectural issues and problems, identifying needed architectural changes and explaining and communicating these changes in an understandable way to management and other stakeholders, supporting the ODL value stream architects with solution design and design reviews. You will also be one of the contact points for the BI Architecture, to which you will provide support and guidance in solution and design.

In addition to being a n architect for ODL, you are also expected to contribute with setting the long term target architecture for BI at Swedbank and participate in the architectural governance work of BIO BI. You are ready and willing to learn new technologies and approaches to create the data architecture of the future that will help business units and group functions at Swedbank to succeed in reaching the bank's 5 year wanted position.

What you need to succeed To succeed as a ODL BI Architect in our team, you need:

Relevant academic degree
At least 5 years of experience in BI/DW architecture related roles
Experience of leading architectural work in large enterprise transformation programs
Solid understanding of information architecture, data governance and BI service development methodology
Deep experience in providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring
Have a genuine interest to learn new skills and help others to succeed
Good communication and presentation skills
Fluency in written and oral English, Swedish is a bonus
Be onsite in Stockholm at least three days a week and be prepared to travel


As an architect you are business oriented and understand that architecture is a means to an end and not a goal in itself. You are eager to learn how the business works and how new technology in the BI area can be used to accelerate business and customer value.
